Is a life without Feijoas unthinkable or is this little green oval a mystery to you? Feijoas are also known as pineapple guavas because they bear some resemblance to guavas in appearance and taste. Their complex can be likened to strawberry and pineapple, slightly citrusy with a hint of mint.
We think they're best eaten fresh with a spoon but they can also be stewed, poached or frozen into ice cream for feijoa goodness year-round - nice. They're not here for long, so be sure to love them while you can.
