The Secret Garden is hidden away in the South Auckland village of Patumahoe. Our produce is sown and harvested by hand, grown using Regenerative Agriculture principles. We focus on building soil health by avoiding all chemical sprays and soil disturbance and we promote biodiversity as a powerful means of managing pests and disease.
Our mesclun salad contains a colourful and diverse array of leaves. Its composition depends on the season but it’s likely to include lettuce, kale, mustard, spinach, pak choi, beet, chard, chervil, pea shoots, wood sorrel, orach, chickweed, New Zealand Spinach and edible flower petals.
