Solania tomatoes are grown in the fertile plains of in the centre of Italy, at the foot of Appennini chain on the hills of the Lattari Mountains.
They are processed for storage in natural ways to keep the freshness and flavour of the fruit (you can see the ingredients below). Solania tomatoes are collected when the sun goes down – this is the secret of their lovely and superior flavour.
The tomatoes have a few unique properties including a sweet taste, very few seeds, bright red colour and are easy to peel! Any sauce made from Solania tomatoes becomes dense, full-bodied and soft.
