Although rhubarb is not a true fruit, in the kitchen it is usually prepared as if it were. Most commonly, rhubarb is cooked with sugar into crumble or pies or stewed and stored to top yoghurt or muesli. The green leaves are poisonous. Don't mess around with them, they cannot be eaten so you can discard!
